    Description

    Client :


    Our client owns and operates approximately 12.4 GW of power infrastructure in the United States, producing and selling electricity, capacity, and ancillary services into wholesale power markets, primarily in PJM, ERCOT, and WECC regions.

    Their generation fleet is predominantly located in the Mid-Atlantic, Texas, and Montana.

    While the majority of their power is generated from zero-carbon nuclear and lower-carbon gas-fired facilities, they are actively reducing the carbon profile of their wholly owned coal fleet through fuel conversions and announced deactivations.

    Additionally, they are developing a hyperscale data center campus adjacent to their Susquehanna nuclear plant, which will utilize the carbon-free energy that Susquehanna generates.

    Role:
    This role entails conducting challenging engineering tasks under supervision, with limited direct accountability.

    It specifically involves control systems engineering within a large power generation facility, focusing on distributed control systems and instrumentation for significant industrial equipment.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Engage with PLCs and DCS controls.

    Aid in smaller engineering projects or well-defined segments of larger projects, utilizing established procedures to investigate, assess, and contribute to technically accurate and cost-effective designs or recommendations for ongoing issues.

    Foster relationships to facilitate knowledge exchange, cross-functional understanding of related work domains, and effective presentation of work outputs.

    Undertake supervised field and/or home office activities encompassing diverse functions, providing structured yet challenging tasks that foster competency development in the respective function/discipline.

    Collect and analyze basic engineering data using established procedures, including routine and diagnostic testing of components and systems, and conducting engineering studies.

    Continuously enhance technical and business acumen independently, guided by instructions, advice, and direction from colleagues.
    Contribute to various initiatives such as developing innovative procedures, recommending improved designs, or suggesting new and enhanced equipment purchases.


    Requirements:

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


    Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering with a focus on process control systems from an ABET-accredited college or university, or an institution recognized by ABET as substantially equivalent.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    Experience or classroom training in Feedback Controls, particularly with DCS or PLC controls.
    Preferred internship or co-op experience in the energy industry.
    Certification as an Engineer in Training.

    Salary :
    $85,000 to $120,000 plus bonus
