    Description

    Our company collaborates with clients across various sectors and has a fast-growing restaurant and hospitality division that caters to clients nationwide.

    We are seeking an on-site Systems Engineer for our Topeka office. Full-time availability is essential, requiring 40 hours per week. After an initial training period of about 8 months, a hybrid-remote work arrangement may be considered.


    If you are the ideal candidate for this role, you will possess expertise in maintaining the computer network's functionality, assessing software and hardware requirements, suggesting improvements as needed, and delivering prompt, efficient service to Mize employees and clients.


    Responsibilities:
    - Maintain Windows & Linux (RedHat/CentOS) servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, group policy
    - Support network technologies such as firewalls, routers, switches; wireless access points; VLANS; routing
    - Manage Microsoft Exchange 2013, SPAM filtering; Postfix
    - Handle VMWare VSphere & ESXi, storage networking with SAN, NAS, DAS technologies
    - Ensure disaster recovery readiness through backup & replication
    - Implement security measures including antivirus, system and process logging, 2-factor authentication, disk encryption
    - Evaluate the impact of hardware, software, and network changes on business processes, security, and disaster recovery
    - Provide tier three/four support for the helpdesk team on complex issues affecting internal and external clients
    - Research, assess, and recommend hardware, software, and procedural enhancements to align with business unit requirements
    - Be flexible with work hours to meet project deadlines
    - Occasionally travel on the same day to client offices, meetings, and seminars
    - Handle increased workload during peak periods

    Required Qualifications:
    - In-person work during training to facilitate interaction among departments and trainers. Duration of in-office training varies based on individual experience and skills.
    - Minimum High School diploma
    - Strong technical expertise
    - Demonstrated customer service skills
    - Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    - Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

    Preferred Qualifications:
    - College degree in IT or related field
    - Certifications or formal technical training
    - Familiarity with Cisco, HP Procurve, Fortinet, Veeam, Barracuda
    - Previous experience in IT support
    - Proficiency in delivering top-notch client service
