BAYERNOIL Refinery Company mbH is one of the leading production facilities for petroleum products in Germany and operates the largest refinery in the Bavarian region.

Actively taking responsibility means preventing safety risks: to protect employees, the environment, and the people living in the vicinity of the plants. But it also means being prepared for potential problems and operational disruptions.

The central role in this is played by the BAYERNOIL fire department. They are on duty 24/7 in both operating units. In case of an emergency, the fire stations at both locations complement each other using state-of-the-art firefighting technology.

To be able to handle all possible danger situations in a refinery, the firefighters are specially trained for industrial fire protection. Their tasks range from emergency medical services and first aid to preventive and defensive fire protection, as well as hazardous material and oil spill response.

The employees of the fire department are equipped with the latest firefighting technology to handle all dangers that may arise in a refinery.

The training includes the following main components:
