    Description

    Are you seeking to move into a Staff Accountant role? Do you have strong experience in AP & AR and a two year degree? Our client in Irving is looking for someone with a strong background in AP & AR that is ready to take the next step into a Staff Accountant role. This role is contract and will be working in the office full time. You will need at least three years of previous accounting experience and a two year degree to be considered.

    Job Responsibilities:

    · Processing accounts receivable transactions.

    · Preparing cash receipts for processing.

    · Tracking deduction and accrual spreadsheets.

    · Managing collection efforts and associated functions.

    · Paying Sales Representatives

    · Scheduling and preparing checks on a weekly basis.

    · Paying employees by receiving and verifying expense reports via Expensify. Prepare checks for review and approval – weekly.

    · Prepare accounting related entries to numerous registers and logs.

    · Regularly perform account reconciliations in an accurate manner.

    · Prepare documentation for external auditors.

    Job Qualifications:

    · Associates or Bachelor's Degree – Accounting or Finance required

    · 3+ years previous Accounting experience – A/P and A/R experience required

    · Self-directed and motivated – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

    · Collaborative and team oriented

    · Detail oriented

    · Strong analytical skills

    · Proficient in Word and Excel

    · Strong written and verbal communication skills
