Job Description

This is a position that provides in-community and in-home support that focus on the skill development a person needs to maintain and/or increase their independence. Staff will work with multiple person-served and will need a reliable vehicle to drive to and from shifts and be able to transport our person-served.

This position specifically works with our Wounded Warrior program and will be working with veterans in need of services.

In this position you will have the opportunity to:

Assist individuals in a 1:1 setting as you support them in pursuing a happy, physically active, healthy, and more independent life.
Provide skill development in areas including but not limited to: community participation, health, safety and wellness, household management and adaptive skills.
Attend team meetings, write progress reports, and assist supervisors in maintaining consistency in service provision and communication with support team members.
Create lasting, positive impacts on peoples' lives through coaching, mentoring, and encouraging others to reach their goals.
Part-time schedules available.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates in relevant field OR two years equivalent experience in working with mental illness or traumatic brain injuries, as determined by the supervisor
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
Adept in the use of technology and possess a smart device with adequate data
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
Possess a reliable vehicle to transport residents as needed
Current personal auto liability insurance

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with veteran population
