    Located 20 miles north west of Chicago, Franklin Park is just south of O'Hare Airport and is a village in Cook County, Illinois. The population was 18,333 at the 2010 census.

    The plant was began plastics production in 1973 manufactures APET, and has approximately 200 employees.

    Responsibilities:

    Description

    • Reporting to the Manager Supply Chain, supervises the activities of warehouse employees, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of day-to-day operations.
    • Implements warehouse plans that may affect the production, distribution and inventory of finished products in order to enhance product flow.
    • Coordinates logistics activities with internal/external customers
    • Organizes warehouse storage area and supervises cycle counts
    • Monitors processes for inbound and outbound deliveries to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
    • Interacts effectively with peers through ongoing communication and exchange of information
    • Provides input and recommendations to the Manager Supply Chain regarding changes to improve the operation.
    • Establishes and modifies daily work schedules considering warehouse needs.
    • Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to assure mutual understanding and desired results.
    • Trains and develops direct reports to achieve their maximum potential to retain a motivated and productive workforce.
    • Recommend personnel for advancement and termination as appropriate.
    • Supervises warehouse teams to ensure compliance with food packaging safety, sanitation, maintenance and operational safety guidelines and procedures.
    • Ensures a safe environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order.
    • Assists in the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control
    • Measure and report on the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Experience supervising in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
    • Warehouse operations experience
    • Experience utilizing ERP systems
    • Good oral/written communication skills
    • Computer skills including MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
