Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Data Integrator to support a critical Intelligence program for DIA across various locations throughout the DMV.

The team is seeking a skilled engineer to perform high volume data transfer and administration for an application development and sustainment program.

Reston, VA; Washington, D.C.

; Annapolis Junction, MD Responsibilities of the

Data Integrator:

Work with a team of developers on data integration requirements.
Write and maintain code using an Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) platform to transform data to suitable formats as defined by IC ITE initiatives.
Interface with external teams and systems to collect data via myriad protocols including HTML and SFTP
Add features to ETL platform to shorten timelines for future data integration efforts.
Develop and maintain code and integrate software into a fully functional software system.
Work with external teams to validate data ingest.
Provide and maintain documentation of system architecture, development, and enhancements.

Qualifications of the

Data Integrator:

Active Top Secret/SCI (ability to obtain CI Polygraph)
Bachelor's and 8 or more years' experience * Linux/Unix experience
Object Oriented programming language experience:
Programming languages: PHP, Python, C#, Java
Abstraction
Encapsulation
Polymorphism
Inheritance: Single, multiple, and multilevel
Understanding objects and classes
Experience working with interfaces
Expertise in data ingestion, data transformation (ETL), and data modeling.
ETL transformation is the process of converting raw data from source systems into a format that is suitable for the target system. A good example of this is a retail business that operates multiple stores across different regions. The business collects data on daily sales, inventory, and customer demographics on a daily basis and wants to integrate this data into a data warehouse or data lake for data analysis and reporting
Experience with Ruby, Java, or Python

Data Integrator:

Total compensation based on experience level - $140,000 - $190,000
