    Description

    What you'll do...

    Provides technical support for PC, peripheral, network, and software issues in retail tax offices globally to ensure smooth operations for end users. Uses software solutions, knowledge base, personal expertise, and computer systems to address and monitor user incidents. Opens and manages support requests efficiently and escalates them to the appropriate individuals or teams when needed. Communicates effectively with clients to assist them with their technical concerns. Acts as a connection between business partners, Lead FST/CSM, and TSC to identify and resolve issues.

    • Coordinate the setup, shutdown, and maintenance of PC hardware and software in H&R Block's field company offices according to CSC instructions.
    • Troubleshoot and support field systems in company-owned field offices through phone, chat, and on-site visits.
    • Assist in troubleshooting and supporting FR offices via phone and chat.
    • Manage the inventory of district resources and hot spare tracking for computer equipment.
    • Maintain communication with Business Partners and Lead Field Systems Technician/Company Support Manager regarding support issues.
    • Manage network and telephone systems in company offices.
    • Document hardware issues and their resolution in the ticketing system.
    • Support special projects as required.
    • Remotely access and control desktops to resolve technical problems.
    • Follow established procedures to handle inquiries and resolve office and associate issues.
    • Stay updated on the technical aspects of supported products.
    • Handle Field contacts while ensuring quality procedures and guidelines are followed.
    • Perform assigned duties efficiently.

    What you'll bring to the team...

    Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Work Experience:
    • Experience with Windows Environment, network configurations, and MS Office (or equivalent).
    • Driving ability with possession of a valid driver's license, proper insurance, and a good driving record.
    • Capability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Demonstrated decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills.
    • Proficiency in setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware, networks, and systems.
