Job Description

  • Representing the client's interests as part of the Deutsche Bahn in the Eastern Works Association for the assigned project
  • Independently ensuring the budget, timeline, and qualitycompliant implementation and continuous support of the project in various phases
  • Technical responsibility for the implementation of project planning, including reviewing the task assignment
  • Independently creating board presentations for approval of funds
  • Providing technical advice for the tendering and awarding of planning and construction services
  • Ensuring the acquisition of building permits and financing for the project
  • Reviewing and monitoring the performance of internal and external service providers
  • Taking independent corrective measures when necessary
  • Accepting contractual obligations of executing companies
  • Coordination and decisionmaking in collaboration with contractors and other railway infrastructure companies on behalf of the client

Qualifications

  • Completed degree in civil engineering or industrial engineering, preferably with a focus on construction or a similar field
  • Professional experience in construction project management, tendering and awarding of construction services, and project execution
  • Solid knowledge of VOB, VOL, HOAI, and current legal regulations
  • High level of independence, flexibility, and resilience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all project stakeholders (Federal Railway Authority, municipalities, etc.)
  • Strong quality, cost, and deadline awareness
  • Industry experience in construction or with DB AG
  • Proficiency in German
