Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
Lead a team of engineering manager and electrical engineers in the design and implementation of innovative electrical architecture solutions for EV platforms, considering performance, safety, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Define and drive the overall electrical architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and product roadmaps.Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to specify and integrate electronic components, sensors, communication interfaces, and control systems.
Oversee the development of system requirements, specifications, and design guidelines for electrical subsystems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in the EV industry to identify opportunities for enhancing the company's electrical architecture and product offerings.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality designs and efficient problem-solving.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex engineering challenges, ensuring timely delivery of projects and products
Location & Travel Expectations:
The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events occasionally. The role will be based in a Scout Motors location in San Francisco, CA or Novi, MI.
Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Here's what else you'll bring:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
10+ years of electrical engineering and architecture, ideally within the automotive industry
Demonstrated, progressive experience building and leading electrical engineering teams with the ability to inspire, motivate, promote collaboration, and drive innovation.
In-depth knowledge of electrical system design, including hardware and software integration, power distribution, and control systems.Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements related to EV electrical systems.
Proficiency in engineering software and tools used for electrical design and analysis.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Innovative mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest developments in EV technologies.

Initial Base Comp = $210,000 - $245,000
