    Electrical Engineer


    on the Swapping Station Team you will play a key role in developing Ample's automated systems for swapping and charging batteries across a portfolio of vehicles.


    What You'll Do:
    Work on a variety of low and high voltage systems for batteries and robotic systems
    Take a hands-on approach to tackle and solve an array of practical electro-mechanical technical problems
    Support a rapid and adaptable design process for manufacturing of production systems
    Develop tooling for validation and verification across multiple electrical interfaces from small isolated subsystems to large station level systems


    What You'll Bring:
    Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or similar equivalent
    Minimum of 2 years industry experience

    (post internship experience)
    Experience with at least one design cycle of prototype, verification, testing and production of a PCB design
    Hands-on experience with inter-system communication protocols such as I2C, UART, and SPI
    Experience with PCB routing rules generation, PCB stack-ups, and overall aspects of PCB tolerances and layout
    Exposure to wire harness routing and harness design
    Exposure to industrial automation systems including motor selection, electrical cabinet design, and PLC programming
    Experience communicating across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to investigate and understand underlying design interfaces
    Desire to work in hands-on environment doing research and work with electrical systems
    Ability to take an abstract problem and break it down into an implementable system - starting with a scrappy approach and progressively building it up into a sophisticated solution
