Program overview:
This role will exist within the Intern Program and is intended to attract undergraduate college students who are studying Engineering, or similar Technical disciplines.
This hands-on role is meant to provide undergraduates with medical device manufacturing experience, focused on propelling Lexington Medical forward, while also advancing the student's career.
The program will provide hands-on, meaningful work experiences to improve their technical skills.Successful candidates for this position will gain valuable experience in the medical device industry which could shape career decisions and create future employment opportunities.
Education:
Must be currently attending an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Engineering, or similar technical disciplines

Bedford, Massachusetts Experience:
No experience required. Resume should show demonstrated ability to build and debug mechanical/electro-mechanical assemblies.
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day engineering tasks on an operational manufacturing line (30%) -Address yield or quality concerns -Perform repairs and maintenance on custom production equipment -Assist with training Process Engineering Support (30%) -Assess current processes for bottlenecks and inefficiencies -Generate solutions and present them to the larger manufacturing team -Implement changes by performing training, commissioning equipment, or performing other line changes as needed Manufacturing Fixture Design Project (40%) -Work through the design process for mechanical/electro-mechanical manufacturing system to meet user requirements -Conduct design reviews and identify risks posed by the system design -Construct and implement the fixture using all appropriate SOPs and
