    Description

    Our client is a veterinary hospital. They seek a State Tax Supervisor to join their Westlake Village, CA office. The opportunity offers a hybrid work schedule and competitive salary and benefits.

    Responsibilities

    • Produce corporate and partnership federal, state, and local income tax returns
    • Carry out quarterly estimated tax payments and tax return extensions
    • Prepare interim and year-end tax provisions including current taxable income calculations
    • Work with finance and accounting personnel to collect and analyze financial data
    • Develop and uphold an understanding of the business for assigned entities
    • Research and answer responses to taxing authority inquiries
    • Provide tax support to other corporate and operating groups
    • Complete various tax projects as assigned relating to tax audits and tax planning

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's in Accounting, MBA preferred
    • 2+ years of accounting experience
    • Corporate state and local tax experience
    • Organized and able to meet deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • CPA strongly preferred
