The Cytometry Technical Specialist position at the Shared FACS Facility in Stanford University offers a great opportunity to join a highly utilized flow cytometry service center. The facility provides top-notch flow cytometric tools and applications to researchers within Stanford University and the surrounding research community.
If you are looking for a role that involves technical support and operator assistance for flow cytometry and sorting instrumentation, this might be the perfect fit for you. No direct experience is necessary, as training will be provided. What's important is having a keen interest in understanding scientific instrumentation, along with a willingness to learn and troubleshoot technical issues.
As a Cytometry Technical Specialist, you will have the chance to work with cutting-edge flow cytometry research, supporting users in conducting innovative experiments. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage time effectively are essential in this dynamic lab environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a strong mechanical/technical aptitude to comprehend cytometry research instruments. While experience in flow cytometry is beneficial, expertise in scientific instrument repair/engineering is equally valuable.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
A Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field with at least two years of work experience, or a Master's degree in a related field.
