    KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, OpenShift Engineer to join our Digital Nexus Technology organization. This is a remote work opportunity organization.


    Responsibilities:
    Provide advanced level technical support to application teams using the OpenShift platform; troubleshoot and resolve technical issue related to OpenShift platform

    Work closely with application teams to understand their requirement and provide guidance and recommendations to optimize their OpenShift deployment

    Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of industry directions and trends

    Collaborate with other teams such as operations and middleware to ensure timely resolution of issues; mentor and train other support engineers to improve their technical skills and knowledge of OpenShift

    Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical issues

    Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and best practices; contribute to the development of automation tools and scripts to improve support processes


    Qualifications:
    Minimum three years of recent experience in providing technical support for enterprise software applications; minimum three years of recent experience managing a medium to large scale container platform including experience with initial rollout, implementation of new patterns and images, automation, scale up/down, reporting on health and recommendations for healthy operations

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred

    Strong experience with OpenShift, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting; solid understanding of containerization and Kubernetes

    Demonstrated ability to engineer/solution CI/CD processes in an enterprise environment, preferably using GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins

    Scripting experience with knowledge of some of the common languages such as Shell, Bash, Python and PowerShell; firm knowledge of the SDLC lifecycle is required, while coding experience with software development languages is preferred; working knowledge of team collaboration software like MS Teams

    Detail-oriented and thorough, with effective time management skills and excellent technical writing and editing skills; must have the ability to work effectively with clients, IT management and other team members; ability to positively influence, mentor and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members
