    Description


    The Trade Marketing Sales Manager leads annual display strategy, innovating and optimizing our current merchandise tools to drive sales across all channels.

    As a key role between sales and marketing, this individual creates in-store experiences that exceed retailer expectations while bringing national brand campaigns to life.


    This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented senior manager who can leverage the creativity of marketing and the analytics of sales to deliver high-impact display programs.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    Merchandise Marketing Coordinator, Retail

    Location:
    Onsite at our Preston, WA office 2-3 days a week OR Remote work from home

    • Lead development of all in-store merchandise, tools, and retail displays from concept to delivery based on retailer opportunities, product priorities, and consumer insights.
    • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to align on creative needs, program timing, forecast requirements, print deadlines, and delivery dates for all point-of-sale materials.
    • Manage supplier/vendor relationships including negotiating pricing, conducting supplier reviews, and enforcing quality control requirements.
    • Drive innovation and process improvement by monitoring competitive promotional activity and new technology opportunities across all trade channels.
    • Provide feedback to supplier on creative design, engineering, and prototypes to optimize retail execution and minimize project duration and cost.
    • Lead forecasting and inventory decisions based on weekly order trends, supplier timelines, and budget demands.
    • Manage a multi-million-dollar budget through proactive forecasting on a national and brand level.
    • Oversee content development for internal-facing ordering sites that serve as a live catalogue of POS tools for all brands within the Talking Rain portfolio.
    • Analyze spends and volume lift versus prior year to gage ROI of in-store displays and merchandise tools; regularly present findings to steer the direction of future purchasing decisions.
    • Manage Merchandise Marketing Coordinator, helping to approve strategy, creative, and purchasing decisions related to paper POS, swag, dealer loaders, and distributor communication.
    • Ensure food safety, quality, and SQF practices are followed at all times, notifying immediate manager of any food safety and/or quality issues.
    • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
    • Minimum of six (6) years of program and management support, ideally with Sales and Marketing.
    • Project Management experience preferred.
    • Experience working in the consumer product industry; beverage or alcohol experience a plus.
    • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite specifically Excel and Power Point.
    • Ability to work from our corporate office a minimum of (3) days a week.
    • Ability to travel quarterly for team meetings, supplier tours, and/or sales conferences.
