- Utilize MRP tools and other resources proactively to maintain balanced inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Implement and optimize inventory and material management strategies, including setting inventory targets, analyzing costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate purchasing options, calculate total costs, and explore ways to reduce expenses by consolidating orders, seeking alternative suppliers, and adjusting networks.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for supply chain discrepancies and develop action plans to prevent their recurrence. Address out-of-stock situations promptly and recommend solutions.
- Manage inventory obsolescence effectively to minimize aged stock and potential write-offs.
- Regularly review and update inventory parameters and safety stock levels.
- Track and compare metrics against set targets on a weekly/monthly basis.
- Handle customer orders through various channels ensuring timely processing and delivery.
- Maintain positive and responsive communication with customers to enhance their overall experience.
- Provide accurate information on order status and product inquiries to customers.
- Manage customer returns following established guidelines and work closely with the Credit Department.
- Ensure accuracy of customer data in the ERP system.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives and Supply Planning teams to exceed customer service expectations.
- Coordinate with transportation partners to secure scheduled loads efficiently.
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in customer service/supply chain, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in working with ERP systems in a production environment.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to thrive in a complex and ambiguous environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to process improvement and root cause analysis.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent multitasking abilities with a keen focus on customer satisfaction.
