    Congressional Communities is 501(c)3 working to help Congress succeed through better communication between constituents and representatives. Right now, most members of Congress have a poor read on constituent sentiment. We believe they need to meet us and ask us -- How else can they know where we stand?

    Role Description

    This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales and Marketing Specialist at Congressional Communities, located in Aliso Viejo, CA, with flexibility for some remote work. This is not a traditional sales and marketing position. Think of us as a start-up, and the product we're selling as a voice in government. To get our idea off the ground, we have to get some communities active, and that will be your primary job. There is no cost for the product, other than a very flexible time commitment on the part of the people who choose to participate in their community. Even so, there is still a sale involved, and all the traditional tools of good sales are in play. As a Sales and Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for various sales and marketing activities, including client relationship management, creating marketing materials, and managing social media campaigns. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive sales initiatives and support the growth and adoption of the Congressional Communities model.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience in sales and marketing roles, ideally including prior advocacy work
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM software, and social media platforms
    • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
    • Attention to detail and organizational skills
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred, but not an absolute
