- Engage in soliciting, negotiating, and securing new and repeat business through various initiatives such as prospecting, site tours, and sales blitzes
- Follow up on leads/referrals and network effectively to maximize room revenue
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key accounts, community entities, and professional associations to heighten visibility and expand market presence
- Prepare and handle correspondence, contracts, Banquet Event Orders, and other related documents as needed
- Execute an active sales solicitation program
- Pursue and follow up on leads as instructed or assigned
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of hotel operations, including Food and Beverage, Guest Services, and Reservations
- Track the performance of top accounts and analyze market trends within the assigned segment
- Utilize the sales system according to Shamin standards
- Maintain consistent attendance as per Shamin standards, based on varying hotel needs
- Meet or exceed set revenue productivity and booking goals on a monthly/quarterly/yearly basis
- Preferably experienced in managing multiple properties
- Prior experience in Hotel Sales is a must
- Experience with Hilton and Marriott brands is advantageous
- 1-2 years of experience in the hotel or customer service field is preferred
- Oftentimes stand, walk, or sit for extended periods, including long and varied hours (up to 8 hours)
- Utilize hands and fingers for handling, talking, and listening
- Occasionally bend, reach, stoop, or crouch
- Engage in Light Work, involving occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force, and/or frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects

The Role
The pivotal Area Sales Manager will be tasked with effectively reaching out to all accounts within their designated market.
