Accounting Specialist_
Major _
_Responsibilities_- Oversee and own all aspects of AR/AP processes Prepare Monthly Financial Reports and related Schedules Maintain and consolidate Daily and Weekly Sales reporting Analyze spending variances Maintain and reconcile all Balance Sheet GL Accounts Reconcile Bank Statements Provide Ad-Hoc Analytical support for the Controller, Regional Controller and Division Site Managers and their staff Maintain and Balance Payroll Summaries and Statistical data Participate and provide leadership role in the month end closing process**_
Month End_
_ Accounting Functions_- Assist with the preparation, analysis and distribution of Monthly Financial Statements Reconcile inter-company cash receipts, payables and credit card processing Maintain and clear inter-company balancing between locations and Corp HQ Review commission reports and submit for processing Prepare journal entries for multiple facilities

  • Maintain multiple accrual files and worksheets that assist/drive the closing process
  • Assist in other duties assigned by the Controller
    _ Education_
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance**_
Basic Requirement_**- Three or more years of accounting experience preferred Basic understanding of the General Ledger and General Accounting Functions

  • Ability to read and comprehend Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Statement(s)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Excel (i.e. spreadsheet creation/editing, pivot tables, data manipulation/ analysis and formulas creation etc.) and MS Word (document creation, formatting and editing etc)

  • Highly motivated, proactive, willingness to engage and provide leadership to accounting support staff
  • Ability to Multitask and change focus when needed while maintaining strict deadlines

  • Ability to identify internal control opportunities
