    Accounting Analyst | Gaithersburg, MD

    Details:

    Location:
    Gaithersburg, MD

    100% On-site

    Monday-Friday

    7:45am - 5:15pm (Fridays end at 2:45pm)

    6-month contract to hire

    Necessary Skills

    3+ years in Financial Analyst or similar role.

    Experience with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP preferred)

    Experience with Forecasting.

    Experience with Data Analysis .

    A day in the role


    Work directly with the Vice President of Finance on various financial planning models, such as forecasting, budgets, profitability analysis, and reporting.

    Consolidate and analyze financial data while considering Companys goals and financial standing.

    Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to improve financial performance.

    Monitor performance and provide executive managers with insights into risks and opportunities.

    Analyze financial trends and variances.

    Compare and correct data to reconcile transactions.

    Assemble and summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risks.

    Provide accurate and data-based information on Companys profitability, solvency, stability and liquidity.

    Perform other duties as assigned.
