Description

We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist for our client in Morrisville, NC.

The CNC Machinist must have knowledge of complex precision machining in order to create multi-axis CNC programs for the fabrication and finishing of 3D printed metal parts for various industries.

The CNC Machinist will program and set-up equipment including mills, lathes, wire EDM, and various other types of machinery. The CNC Machinist will be working directly with customer-supplied 3D CAD files to create custom programs.

Responsibilities:

Create custom CNC programs from customer supplied 3D CAD files.
Design custom tooling and fixtures for CNC & EDM operations.
Machine parts consistent with medical device, consumer electronics, and aerospace industry requirements.

Machining will be performed on 3D printed metal near-net shape parts.

Maintain specifications by observing good machining practices and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Set up and operate mills, lathes, wire EDM and other machining equipment to finish custom 3D printed prototyping and production jobs Clean and maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Perform other related duties as assignedWorking hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PMSkills:
Trade school certificate in CNC programing or equivalent experience
Experience with Haas machine tools, high speed machining
Able to understand 2D drawings with dimensional tolerances
Understanding of GD&T-Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Proficient in basic mathematics
Able to use a computer and calculator.

Able to read and write in English-Able to work in fast

paced, team oriented environment

Must be punctual and have good attendanceEducation:High SchoolExperience:1-4 yearsQualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current ability to program and run CNC equipment

Experience with 3 and 5 axis machines, soft and hard metal machining
