ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs project work on process improvements. Provides written descriptions of new or modified manufacturing processes, and coordinates the implementation of these into production. Calculates financial impact of process improvements. Provides training and support with regard to changes made in the process. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of personalities. Must be able to work effectively with other employees, managers, vendors, and clients. Must be able to work through projects and resolve issues within the process with little supervision.

Must be able to be on the plant floor frequently, and remain standing for long periods of time to perform testing, prototyping, machine run off for new equipment, and new process implementation.

Must be able to tolerate extreme temperatures in an un-airconditioned, un-heated environment up to 70% of the time. Be able to learn and program NC fabrication equipment. Must be able to use MS Office programs Word, Excel, and Outlook. Must be able to comply with all required safety policies and wear the appropriate personal protection equipment.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance

RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS:
College degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering required. Prior experience preferred. Must be able to work in a team with other employees from different departments Must possess excellent written skills. Must demonstrate excellent analytical skills. Must be organized and possess an ability to handle multiple projects. Position requires ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time in the production facility.

Position requires ability to perform job while exposed to dust, fumes, moving heavy equipment, and extreme heat and cold up to 70% of the time.

Position requires ability to grasp and reach for production materials and equipment
