Full-Time Days or Nights
STARTING RATE:
$15/hr. ( $15 - $17.34/hr., dependent upon experience)

Weekly PaychecksHealth, Dental, Life InsuranceReferral Bonus Retirement/Pension/401k Clinically Complex PositionsFlexible SchedulesDuties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Adequately performs duties assigned such as repair and installation of all equipment, floors, walls, ceilings, etc.
Responsible for the general safety and security of the nursing facility, furnishings and equipment.
Provides maintenance management through regular equipment inspections, while upholding facility maintenance inspection processes & procedures and attending to all daily maintenance requests for each department.
Performs necessary repairs to the building, including but not limited to:painting, drywall repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, ceiling tile replacement, window and screen replacement, etc.
Performs generator testing, fire drills, checks/maintains patient lifts, oxygen concentrators, suction machines, fire extinguishers and sharps container inspections, takes water temperatures and assists to safeguard the security of the facilityAnswers maintenance calls/requests performing needed repairs as indicated, and in a timely mannerTransports staff to and from designated pick-up and drop-off sites utilizing the facility vehiclePerforms any other duties necessary as assigned by the Environmental Services ManagerRequirements:Minimum 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferredExcellent customer service skillsValid NYS Driver's LicenseAble to work with tools, ladders and maintenance supplies as directedAble to work under minimum supervision, while cooperating with departmental heads and other staff membersProblem solving skills in maintenance requestsGood physical strength for heavy lifting and other related tasksRespect for residents' privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderlyAbility to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessaryAble to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindnessQualities of responsibility and diplomacy
