    YOU

    As a Manufacturing Engineer you will streamline manufacturing process; eliminate waste, increase efficiency, reduce defects, and drive continuous improvement through the manufacturing plant and warehouse/shipping department.

    You will also be responsible to identify automation needs, research and contact equipment vendors, negotiate prices and terms, spearhead the project, and work across multiple organizations to deliver on time and within budget.

    You'll lead a team of Kaizen associates to recognize bottlenecks in manufacturing processes, collect and analyze data, place corrective actions, implement counter measures, evaluate process after change, compile results, present findings, and solutions, and recommend permanent changes to process, develop work instructions and train associates.

    You are driven to own and maintain all manufacturing processes and meet all guidelines.
    WHAT
    YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

    Collect, analyze, and interpret data to measure performance, identify areas for improvement, and develop target areas for enhancing products and processes.

    You'll design, develop and/or source and cost- justify various machinery and equipment for recommended automation and manufacturing methods. Carry out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training. (45%)
    Work to improve manufacturing and warehouse processes and methods for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.

    Research, design and develop processes and systems to improve products, warehouse and manufacturing methods around safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

    (35%)
    Create and maintain standard work for all manufacturing and warehouse processes. (10%)

    Stay up to date on technological advancement by researching and attending different workshops and studying new research topics that relate to branch needs.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

    Bachelor's degree in industrial / manufacturing engineering or related field.
    Standard work and workplace design knowledge.
    0-3 years experience in either working or completing projects in a manufacturing plant and warehouse operations.
    0-2 years experience in SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) system (mainly Ignition).

    Projects Skills:
    Project management, scheduling and risk management, presentation skills, MS Office, AutoCAD.

    Process improvement Skills:
    Lean Manufacturing, Process Modeling, Statistical Methods, Root Cause Analysis, Time Studies, Automation, Kaizen event facilitation.

    Operations Improvement Skills:
    Ergonomics & Human Factors, Capacity Planning, Operation Plans, workplace layouts, value stream mapping and analysis.

    Analytical Skills:
    Data collection and analysis required, SAP cloud analytics and BI experience a plus.

    Hard skills:
    PLC and automation programming is a plus.

    TRAVEL
    This position requires domestic travel up to 10% of the time.
    WORK STATUS & LOCATION
    This full-time, exempt position is located in McKinney, TX.

    RELOCATION
    Relocation is not available for this position.

    PAY
    $ $82500 / year
