    You'll ensure overall engineering quality, removing obstacles, guiding teams, and escalating when needed.

    In this role you will collaborate with global stakeholders, including the CTO, VP of Product and VP of Design, managing engineers worldwide (Australia, Greater China, EMEA and North America) to shape Airwallex's tech roadmap.

    QualificationsYou want to build a significant global business and understand the critical role engineers play in achieving that mission.

    You have 15+ years experience in modern engineering practices, with a track record of leading, coaching, and mentoring high-performing engineering organizations - currently overseeing 300+ engineers in global operations.

    You possess extensive and robust computer science fundamentals, along with expertise in building and designing scalable and resilient systems. Your contributions significantly impact the broader engineering goals of the company.

    You have a successful track record of working with stakeholders to create engineering strategies and roadmaps, delivering impactful results both within and outside the company.

    You are an excellent communicator, recognizing the importance of balancing product knowledge and technical skills. You can coach other engineers and product managers on both aspects. You enjoy fostering an inspiring team environment that encourages idea sharing and values openness. You demonstrate flexibility to work across global time zones.

    Previous experience in FinTech/Payments is a plusAt Airwallex you'll have the ability to make an impact in a rapidly growing, global fintech.

    • Offers CommissionAirwallex promotes fair compensation practices in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.

    These expected base pay ranges are based on information at the time this post was generated and represent the company's good faith minimum and maximum ranges for this role at the time of posting.

    The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills and other qualifications, geographic location as noted, internal equity, and other external market factors.

    Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation including, but not limited to, annual bonuses, commissions, RSUs, or other forms of compensation in addition to the established salary range.

    Benefits may vary depending on the nature of employment and work location.

    US-based employees are eligible to participate in medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability, basic life insurance, and well-being benefits.

    US-based employees also receive 20 paid days of vacation and 12 paid days of company holidays in a calendar year.
