Description
Cook County Health (CCH) is seeking a Chair of the Division of Neurology-Clinical to join an exceptional team serving patients across the greater Chicago area.
This position will lead a committed staff in maintaining clinical excellence while developing and reporting on innovations in patient care for a large, high-risk patient population with a broad range of clinical problems.
The Division Chair will also lead a group of attending physicians, advanced practice providers, residents, fellows and support staff to provide state-of-the-art clinical care in Adult Neurology for CCH within its hospitals and throughout its ambulatory care network.
The role is responsible for the CCH-related training of fellows, residents and medical students during their CCH Neurology rotations as well as supporting, encouraging and participating in the Division of Neurology clinical research projects.

Mix of administrative, clinical, teaching/training and research responsibilities
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical college or university is required
Must be licensed as a physician in the state of Illinois or have the ability to obtain Illinois physician licensure before starting employment
Must have Illinois and Federal controlled substance license or eligibility to obtain license prior to starting employment
Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology is required
Must have minimum 5 years of work experience practicing Neurology, with at least 2 years of this experience having occurred in an institution actively training residents or fellows
At least 2 years of work experience in administering clinical, educational, quality assurance or research programs related to Neurology
