Hi! My name's Bethany and I'm currently searching for a job in Cardiac Rehabilitation in Chicago, Illinois or the surrounding suburbs. I graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, and I received my Master's degree in Clinical Exercise Science from Loyola University in Chicago, and I'm currently interning at University of Illinois' Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation Clinic. I'm searching for a great opportunity to prove what success I can bring to a new Cardiac Rehab facility and am ready to show my strengths and skills in the workplace.

• Reviewed medical history prior to patient visit and establish their limits to exercise testing in order to then create an exercise prescription that is safe and appropriate
• Acquired skills to lead patients through an hour session of aerobic activity on machines such as the NuStep, Monark ergometer, recumbent elliptical/bicycle, and treadmill, then guided them through strength exercises with resistance bands, applying both upper and lower body
• Performed cardiopulmonary exercise stress tests and help monitor ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate during testing
• Mastered blood pressure readings pre/post exercise along with during exercise
• Performed pre/post 6 Minute Walk, Chair Sit to Stand, Timed Up and Go, and balance testing before and after 36 sessions in cardiac rehab to assess degree of improvement through their time in the program
