We are looking for an individual that thrives in a fast-paced environment where you will work collaboratively with our UCLA Alumni Travel team to plan tours, manage logistics and provide a high level of service to prospective, current and past travelers.

Within UCLA Alumni Affairs and External Affairs, UCLA Alumni Travel is a constituent engagement program that aligns with UCLA's overall commitments to lifelong learning.

Salary & Compensation

  • UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications

  • Strong experience in travel management with demonstrated skill conceptualizing and managing all aspects of events including vendor negotiations and event followup. (required)
  • Strong experience and knowledge with the business travel industry and practices employed by travel management companies. (required)
  • Experience interacting diplomatically with persons from diverse backgrounds in a high volume, continuous public contact setting to create/increase positive attitudes towards the Alumni Association. (required)
  • 1. Thorough knowledge of applicable policies, practices and procedures of UCLA Alumni Association and constituent groups; informed knowledge of offcampus resources and vendors used in travel programming. (required)
  • 2. Strong customer service orientation and approach with demonstrated ability to respond proactively and positively to customer service needs and problems. (required)
  • 3. Ability to work well as part of a team toward common goals and objectives; strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain credibility and collaborative working relationships with vendors, colleagues and constituent groups. (required)
  • 4. Strong verbal and written communication skills. (required)
  • 5. Strong ability to analyze, interpret and research essential program information; ability to define problems and meet objectives, identify relevant factors and concerns, and recognizes alternatives and their implications. (required)
  • 6. Organized and highly detail oriented with strong time management skills; ability to take initiative and independently plan, organize, prioritize, make timely decisions and provide thorough followup. (required)
  • 7. Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and multiphase projects simultaneously from inception to completion and complete work within tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment under mínimal supervision. (required)
  • 8. Demonstrated knowledge of accounting methods, university purchasing and inventory control. Skill in performing routine statistical computations to analyze and execute program financial transactions and produce reports. (required)
  • 9. Demonstrated skill to teach in an organized and patient manner. (required)
  • 11. Working knowledge of University rules, regulations, guidelines, resources for programming, and services available to the Alumni Association is preferred. (preferred)
