Description
Job Title:Audit Manager
Location: Willington, Delaware
Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
Responsibilities:
Manage and lead audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to deadlines.
Review financial statements, audit workpapers, and reports prepared by audit staff for completeness and accuracy.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and providing guidance on financial and compliance matters.
Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate changes to the audit team and clients as necessary.
Utilize audit software, including CCH ProSystem Engagement, CCH ProSystem Tax software, QuickBooks, or other relevant tools, to streamline audit processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
5+ years of experience in external auditing, preferably with experience in the nonprofit sector.
Strong knowledge of auditing standards, procedures, and principles.
Experience using audit software such as CCH ProSystem Engagement, CCH ProSystem Tax software, QuickBooks, or similar tools.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience working with nonprofit organizations.
Familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles and regulations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
Experience managing and mentoring audit staff.
