What we need
We're looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our accounting team within our Finance organization. You'll help manage the Accounts Payable function with an emphasis on efficiency, accuracy, and process improvement.
You'll also support and partner with the AP Manager and specialists to carry out the company's accounting operations by ensuring all obligations are paid promptly.
What we do
The Accounting team is part of the Finance organization which is a critical financial business partner for Symbotic. Finance functions include General Accounting, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Internal Audit, and FP&A.
Our Finance team is a trusted source for financial information and guidance for our internal customers, partners, customers, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Full cycle accounts payable
- Root cause of vendor issues with education on how to minimize future disputes
- Review disbursements and audit approvals
- Vendor reconciliation and analysis
- A/P Aging reconciliation
- Assist AP manager and support team members with employee onboarding, training, development, and performance management
- Identify issues and follow through on its resolution
- Ensure accounting tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Writeup processes and procedures
- Assist in monthly close activities and audits
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, through friendly, effective, and timely communications
- Monitor special priority vendors as needed
- Strong focus on process improvements
- Work to develop and mentor full time AP staff
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees
- Assist with projects as assigned
- Up to 10% travel may be requested
What you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years' general accounting experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience supervising or leading others
- Advanced Excel and Word skills
- Experience using SAP and NetSuite
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Ability to work independently and follow through on assigned tasks
- Highly organized, detailoriented, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork skills
