Job Description

The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing all accounting activities and reporting for the company and its North America divisions, including budget preparation, financial planning, cash forecasting, and financial reporting.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Manage the General Ledger and related ledgers
Prepare month-end journal entries and adjusting entries for North America divisions
Assist in producing month-end financial statements
Handle customer billing and invoicing
Run credit checks on customers and update customer information
Ensure correct application of Accounts Receivable payments
Maintain up-to-date customer and vendor information
Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
Create payroll journal entries and accruals
Code Accounts Payable invoices correctly
Assist external auditors during annual audit
Support tax return filing and audit processes
File tax forms with government agencies
Maintain knowledge of accounting best practices
Perform other assigned duties

Skills and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or minimum of 2 years GL experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with major ERP systems like SAP preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficient in GAAP accounting and financial reporting
Ability to analyze financial reports
