    **Summary**: Plans, organizes and monitors employees to achieve stated production goals at the desired level outlined by the plant manager.

    **Essential Functions:** To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

    **People First**

    First and foremost, drives safety and a positive culture as we transition to a new WMS and LMS system while adhering to our company vision, mission and values.

    Supports safety, training & housekeeping programs to ensure all areas are continuously free of debris.

    Must have a creative mindset that teaches and encourages innovation within the team. Accelerate continuous improvement and implement Lean and 5S initiatives. Lead by example.

    In coordination with the Safety/Training Manager, assists in the development of associates by ensuring they are educated in their tasks, given the proper tools to do their jobs and can contribute to the total operation.

    Drives employee engagement. Creates and maintains a well-trained, empowered staff that can be promoted through cross training, coaching and feedback.

    Works to maintain a high level of associate morale and recognition while developing a positive work environment.

    Conduct employee performance reviews and discipline and demonstrate the ability to lead people and get results through others.

    **Operations**

    Reviews daily departmental goals, accomplishments and potential problems.

    Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, distribution and production are processed in an efficient, accurate and timely manner, ensuring proper procedures and training are provided to hourly associates.

    Maintains a working knowledge of the operation and complies with all company and union policies and procedures.

    Ensures operations capabilities are tailored to meet business needs with speed and quality.

    Assigns work and monitors productivity to ensure high standards of quality, accuracy, housekeeping, merchandise damage minimization and safety.

    Monitors standard procedures and implements new procedures when necessary to ensure that the overall operation runs in the most efficient manner.

    Ensures customer SLAs are adhered to at all times.

    Monitors staffing and actively participates in the hiring process.

    Consults with distribution center management to ensure consistent use and enforcement of policies and procedures.

    Makes employee decisions including interview, selection and retention of employees.

    Monitor employee training, career counseling, and development.

    Resolves employee issues through problem solving.

    Measures and maintains accuracy of inventory.

    Coordinate daily workflow with other management personnel and have the ability to multi-task.

    Performs accident and near miss investigations.

    Conduct employee team meetings.

    All operations supervisors are expected to be available to work in all areas of the operation.

    Promotes accurate, timely communication up and down the organization to ensure priority issues are addressed.

    Sets an example to co-workers.

    Coordinate daily workflow with other warehouse personnel.

    Ensures the work areas are appropriately maintained and correct any unsafe conditions immediately.

    **Qualifications:**

    3+ years of related experience in distribution, warehouse and production environment showing roles of increasing responsibility.

    Bachelors degree a plus.

    Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.

    Must be able to work schedules as required which may include working off shifts and weekend.

    Ability to maintain a positive attitude while multi-tasking, managing, coaching and mentoring teams to be successful and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong process improvement skills (ability to develop and implement processes)

    Must have demonstrated leadership and strong interpersonal skills Professional verbal and written communication skills

    WMS experience of JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder or similar operating systems.

    Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S and/or Six Sigma methodologies.

    Experience managing a mix of non-exempt and exempt associates. Union experience is a plus.

    Proficiency in and Spanish oral and written communication is a plus

    **Physical Requirements:** The requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee:

    Must be able to stand up to 10 hours in a day.

    Must be able to walk up to 8 hours.

    Will continuously reach up and out.

    Will occasionally climb.

    Will occasionally push/pull from 11-25 pounds.

    Will frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds.

    Will frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.

    Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.

    Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.

    Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

    Regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.

    Must be able to wear gloves occasionally.

    **Mathematical Skills:**

    Must be proficient in mathematics.

    Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.

    Ability to perform these operations using American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance.

    The work performed is in a warehouse environment.

    The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.

    Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
