We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to join our Logistics team.

You will be responsible for daily operational execution of all delivery modes transportation; inbound and/or outbound as well as direct source to customers.

This includes all transportation related activities from booking to nominated Logistics Service Provider to freight invoice review and posting, this includes possible import and/or export clearance formalities on an operational perspective.

Logistics Specialists pro-actively monitor active shipments and react/contact internal and external stakeholders when necessary. Logistics Specialists also are responsible for the activities between Logistics Centers and physical loading of the cargo.

In this position, you will report to the Outbound Logistics Manager - US & Canada.


This position can be located in Mesa, AZ or Brookfield, WI but, we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

This role does not require any travel; however, it may involve up to 5% of travel for meetings or offsite training sessions.

What you'll do

Arrange inbound, outbound and source-to-customer transportation according to the operating model and terms & conditions (e.g. incoterms)

Ensure Logistics documentations is accurate and completed for transportation

Collaboration with Logistics Service Providers for warehousing, brokerage and transportation to secure smooth operational execution

Provide information and support for stakeholders (e.g Order Management) about operational logistics and possibilities

Ensure logistics system set-up is according to the global/regional guidelines and according to the operating model of logistics

Operational set-up with Logistics Center and alignments between the functions in terms of daily operational execution of inbound and outbound transportation

Operate with approved Logistics Service Providers and according to the LSP Agreement documentation

Ensure local import & export customs compliance is setup & run as per local regulations and Metso global/regional guidelines.

Operative execution of approved local customs brokerage with Customs Brokers.

Responsibility of obtaining missing/requested information or facilitating documentation corrections from the customs broker in order to support customs clearance.

Monitoring Logistics Center's activities to ensure on-time and correct booking for transportation

Responsibility of shipping and loading activities as per specified terms & conditions (e.g. incoterms)

Pro-active communication and systems information updates in case of changes and ensure preventing/corrective actions when feasible and possible

Freight invoice matching and posting processes according to the guidelines and set-up

Perform other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.


EXPECTED OUTCOMES
On-time and correct logistics activities from booking to invoice.

Compliance to set guidelines and logistics & trade compliance requirements

Delivery to customer according to the Agreement/Service Level from source to destination with compliance to transportation/customs.


RELATIONSHIPS
Liaises with Regional Logistics, Project Logistics, Regional Trade Compliance, Operative Purchasing, Order Management, Availability Management and other internal stakeholders

Who you are

Prior experience in a logistics role

Advanced understanding of incoterms and related commercial responsibilities

Basic understanding of trade compliance requirements for inbound/outbound shipments from USA

Experience with SAP order management and delivery modules, is a plus

The ability to communicate/influence internal/external service providers

Versatile and adaptable to work on different activities.

Must be able to function effectively both as a member of a team and as an individual contributor.

Motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet deadlines while maintaining precision and attention to detail.

Must be comfortable working and communicating in shop and plant environments.
