Looking for vocational training and further education? It exists The Department of Civil Engineering offers a new cooperative training program for Civil Engineering Technicians (m/f/d) with two separate qualifications.

The first two years of the program will focus on training as a Road Builder (m/f/d), including attending the vocational college for civil engineering, followed by a practical year.

This will be followed by a one-year full-time program to become a Civil Engineering Technician (m/f/d).

A well-functioning (transport) infrastructure is a prerequisite for prosperity and progress.

Both Road Builders (m/f/d) through the construction of sidewalks, squares, and roads, and Civil Engineering Technicians (m/f/d) through the supervision and coordination of various construction projects, contribute to this.

The practical training in road construction will mainly take place at the construction site of the Department of Civil Engineering in Zuffenhausen and at the inter-company training center for construction in Geradstetten.

Instead of regular vocational school classes, you will attend the vocational college for civil engineering at the Steinbeisschule.

Topics covered include:

Use of various building materials such as mortar or concrete mixtures, plaster, and screed
Work on construction sites (e.g. laying paving stones or asphalt on road sections)
Creating plans and sketches for construction sites
Setting up and securing construction sites
Taking measures for health and environmental protection
