PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities.

We are seeking a talented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy.

This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ or at one of our refinery locations.

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for improving the overall security posture across the enterprise.

They evaluate, test and document security solutions and controls, and work closely with other security team members to remediate risk while ensuring the business is able to innovate.

The Analyst is expected to consistently learn and grow and requires a passion for security and rigor to protect the business.


PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather information to arrive at factual and datadriven assessments to recommend the best course of action.
  • Reports on findings and recommendations for corrective action. Performs vulnerability assessments as assigned utilizing IT security tools and methodologies.
  • Perform initial analysis, identification, remediation, and documentation of network intrusions and computer system compromises.
  • Handle incident escalations as necessary from other analysts. Project manage incident responses and coordinate remediation.
  • Dedicated monitoring and analysis of cybersecurity events.
  • Analyze threat and vulnerability alerts, determine current impacts, and coordinate remediation actions as necessary.
  • Proactively research and monitor securityrelated information sources to aid in the identification of threats to PBF's networks, systems, and intellectual property.
  • Facilitates and monitors performance of risk remediation tasks, changes related to risk mitigation & reports on findings. Provides weekly project status reports, including outstanding issues.
  • Assist in the development of effective Enterprise Security Policies and Procedures.
  • Address questions from internal and external audits and examinations.
  • Maintain vendor management standards, questionnaires, and documentation to adhere to regulatory compliance.
  • Facilitate IT security/risk training curriculum.
  • Serve as project lead within IT security projects.
  • Validate, document, prioritize, recommend, and complete root cause analysis.
  • Regularly participate in IR tabletop exercises designed to identify gaps, improve skills, enhance communication, and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Refine and maintain playbooks, policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure they align with industry best practices.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years IT security or information security experience with a proven ability to engage with Management and auditors.
  • Knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases and systems in relation to IT Security and IT Risk.
  • Knowledge of multiple computing platforms, including Windows, Linux, Unix, networks and endpoints.
  • Experience with multiple solutions such as security orchestration, automation and response; SIEM; intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS); threat intelligence platform; directory services; malware sandboxes; vulnerability management; IR playbooks; and endpoint/extended detection and response.
  • Experience with vulnerability and penetration testing engagements.
  • Experience in incident response, system monitoring, hacking tools, intelligence gathering and kill chain methodology.
  • Applicable knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs), MITRE ATT&ACK framework, CVSS, opensource intelligence (OSINT) and deception techniques.
  • Prior experience working within a refinery, chemical plant, or logistics organization preferred.
  • Capable of working with diverse teams and promoting an enterprisewide positive security culture.
  • Project management skills preferred.
  • Prior experience performing security reviews and risk assessments preferred.
  • Up to 50% Travel.
  • Business fluency with English (Reading, Writing, Presentation).
