    Marketing and Communications Associate Job Summary:

    Sparks Group is seeking a Marketing and Communications Associate to join a national Association based in Washington, DC. The Marketing and Communications Associate will be in charge of planning and carrying out various projects, such as marketing continuing education programs and corporate communication initiatives. This role involves implementing direct marketing strategies, bolstering social media presence, and enhancing public awareness. We are looking for a candidate who is inquisitive, dynamic, and a fast learner, taking proactive steps within given guidelines. A talent for crafting engaging marketing content promptly is crucial.

    Marketing and Communications Associate Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with the continuing education team to promote programs through various channels like print, email, website, and social media.
    • Act as the main contact for external marketing partners for developing creative materials.
    • Support the implementation of corporate communication strategies using various mediums.
    • Manage content and produce newsletters, ensuring timely delivery.
    • Handle internal advertising reservations, collaborating with external resources for ad creation and submission.
    • Update website content as needed.
    • Organize and optimize image and video assets for effective use in digital marketing and social media.
    • Act as a liaison for the Public Outreach Committee, managing inquiries, organizing meetings, and maintaining records.
    • Monitor marketing-related budgets and offer support to senior management and staff.

    Marketing and Communications Associate Qualifications:

    • Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, communications, or related field.
    • At least four years of experience in marketing, communications, and website management within an association setting.
    • Proficiency in marketing planning, material production, social media management, and content writing.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability in project management, including multitasking, budget tracking, and reporting.
    • Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact or similar email platforms, and social media posting.
    • Familiarity with MS Office Suite, Adobe, and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

    This position offers Hybrid Remote work.
