Job DescriptionWelcome to Mama's on the Half Shell in Baltimore, MD, where we strive to offer our guests a unique dining experience unlike any other. Our secret ingredient? Our Executive Chef. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced full-time Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and help us take our restaurant to new heights.
In return for your hard work, we offer this food service position a salary of $55,000+ per year, depending on experience. We provide our employees with wonderful benefits, including health, dental, vision, food discounts, staff parties, and events. Additionally, we offer this food service position a 401K plan, two weeks of paid leave, and a bonus program. The typical schedule for this position requires a minimum of 55 hours per week. YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
As our Executive Chef, you are responsible for all aspects of the culinary department. Your main focus is on creating dishes that are visually stunning, cost-effective, and in line with market demand. You have the freedom to unleash your creativity and bring your unique vision to our restaurant. Your goal is to make sure that every dish that leaves our kitchen is a masterpiece that sets us apart from our competitors and leaves a lasting impression on our guests.
You also complete tasks outside of the kitchen. Attentive to detail, you manage costing, inventory, waste management, and labor percentages to ensure that our restaurant stays profitable. You also oversee the overall upkeep of our facilities to ensure they are up to our high standards. You take pride in your ability to lead our food service team to success

In 2003, our opening day was the realization of five years of dreaming, discussing, and collecting. It is our hope that when our customers are with us, they feel welcomed into our home with open arms. There really is no average age at Mama's on the Half Shell, making our restaurant a true destination for great food and celebration. As native "Baltimoreans," we felt Baltimore needed a thoughtful, classic seafood restaurant. Our menu is important, but we also want our guests to come in and feel comfortable for any occasion, be it a business meeting, Sunday football, a birthday, an anniversary, or just some time out.
