    Description

    Position: Litigation Associate Attorney

    Location: Florham Park, NJ

    Type: Full Time (Onsite)

    The Client, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, is seeking a Litigation Associate for its Florham Park, NJ office. The Litigation Associate attorney will be responsible for assisting and/or managing a caseload involving personal injury defense matters.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.
    • Collaborate closely with Principals to develop and refine appropriate legal strategies for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings.
    • Offer guidance to clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.
    • Stay updated with changes in the law and understand various disciplines involved in defended cases.
    • Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
    • Admission to the NJ Bar; admission to the NY Bar is a plus.
    • A minimum of 5 years' litigation attorney experience.
    • Knowledge of business law and a specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients.
    • Member in good standing of the state bar(s).
    • Knowledge of state law is essential.
    • Strong research and analytical skills for complex legal issues.
    • Ability to concisely and accurately communicate, both orally and in writing.
    • Proficient in conducting legal research.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others, including peers and Principals of the firm.
