    Position: Fiduciary/Business Litigation Associate

    Location: Florham Park, NJ

    Type: Full Time (On-site)

    The Client, a dynamic and rapidly growing law firm with a national practice, is seeking a skilled Fiduciary/Business Litigation Associate to join their Florham Park, NJ office. The ideal candidate will have 4 or more years of experience and will assist several seasoned principals in managing a fast-paced and varied caseload.

    Responsibilities:

    • Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other similar proceedings.
    • Collaborate closely with Principals to develop and revise appropriate legal strategies for discovery, investigation, handling, and case trials and hearings.
    • Provide guidance to clients on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.
    • Remain current with changes in the law and understand a variety of disciplines involved with cases being defended.

    Subject Matter Expertise:

    The subject matter of the practice includes but is not limited to:

    • Advising corporate and individual fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
    • Prosecuting and defending fiduciary accountings.
    • Will/trust/beneficiary challenges.
    • Will and trust construction/interpretation disputes.
    • "Corporate divorce"/business and partnership breakups.
    • Adult guardianships.
    • Will and trust reformation.
    • Injunctions and other equitable relief.
    • Commercial litigation.

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
    • Member in good standing of the NJ state bar, NY state bar admission a plus.
    • Knowledge of fiduciary and business law with a specific understanding of the operations and requirements of clients. Judicial clerkship experience in Probate/General Equity is a plus.
    • Strong analytical skills used for complex legal issues.
    • Ability to appraise, interpret, and apply legal principles and precedents to difficult legal problems.
    • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
    • Maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with others, including peers and Principals of the firm.
