    Title: Sr. Cloud Network Security Engineer

    Location: 2x a week on-site at Park Ave, New York

    Duration: 6-month contract + extensions/hire

    Work Authorization: US or GC (No C2C available)

    Must-haves:

    • 5+ years experience as a Network Security Engineer in a cloud enterprise environment
    • Experience in configuring private connectivity such as ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, Cloud Interconnect
    • Extensive expertise in Palo Alto, F5 Engineer, etc.
    • Proficient knowledge in Gigamon, Fortinet, network routing & DNS
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field

    Day-to-Day

    Insight Global Health is looking for a Sr. Network Security Engineer for one of our largest Healthcare clients. He/She will be responsible for designing and implementing secure cloud network architectures, prioritizing redundancy, scalability, and fault tolerance for both on premise and cloud environments. This will include setting up, configuring, and maintaining Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW) in the cloud, configuring, and maintaining highly available site-to-site VPN connections across all major clouds, utilizing architectures such as Hub-and-Spoke models, AWS Transit Gateway, and Shared VPCs, with expertise in BGP routing for failover across multiple customer gateways. He/She will also configure, manage, and monitor cloud network security devices such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and load balancers. This will include evaluating existing infrastructure for security vulnerabilities and propose enhancements and actively participate in incident response, conducting thorough investigations, implementing remediation measures, and creating cloud configurations using IaC templates (CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.) across all major cloud vendors. He/She will also conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, collaborating with IT teams to prioritize and address identified vulnerabilities. They will lead with a DevSecOps mindset ensuring network security and strict compliance with organizational policies by implementing advanced security protocols.
