    Job Description

    The Controller is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the company including but not limited to the following:

    • Lead finance team
    • Oversee A/R functions and communication with customers
    • Direct A/P functions and payment strategies to optimize cash flow
    • Analyze job costing data for completion, material changes, variances and profitability
    • Complete the period closing process: journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis, produce financial reports, ensuring that monthly performance is timely and accurately reported to stakeholders
    • Coordinate annual audits and tax prep
    • Manage lender relationships, compliance certificates and financial reporting
    • Record metrics that support AXIS in measuring various operational activities
    • Facilitate annual financial plan, budgets and rolling forecasts
    • Achieve budget objectives and determine opportunities for cost savings
    • Communicate the financial position of the company to leadership team and provide analytical support to enhance decision-making process
    • Conduct contract negotiations and maintenance for corporate insurance, banking, etc.
    • Develop, maintain and enforce company policies and procedures

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum undergraduate degree in accounting-related field
    • CPA or CMA certification preferr
    • 5+ years financial accounting, cost accounting, and management experience in positions of increasing scope and responsibility; preferably within a manufacturing environment
    • Fundamental knowledge of GAAP accounting practices
    • History of work experience in manufacturing; preferably in capital equipment.
