    Description

    Lead Data Engineer

    Company: The company is a prominent provider of virtual care services aimed at addressing substance use.

    Location: New York (Hybrid)

    Compensation: $200,000 + Significant Equity + Bonus

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into our data warehouses using tools like dbt, airbyte, and census
    • Experience working with a composable data platform architecture, with a modular approach encompassing tools like Apache Airflow & AWS Redshift, ensuring observability, identity resolution, and an API activation layer
    • Collaborate with data analysts and analytic engineers to understand data requirements and implement efficient solutions
    • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for optimal data quality and availability
    • Design and optimize data architectures for scalability and performance
    • Implement data modeling, database design, data mining, and integration
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in the data infrastructure
    • Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and data governance requirements with a preference for experience in healthcare data and datasets

    Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience as a data engineer or similar role
    • Expertise in Python, SQL, and data pipeline orchestration tools such as Airflow and dbt
    • Proficiency with cloud data platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
    • Strong skills in database design and data modeling
    • Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes
    • Ability to work collaboratively in an agile environment
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
