Description
Position SummaryOur Airmen depend on many facilities around the world to get their missions done. It's our Bioenvironmental Engineering specialists' job to identify and reduce health hazards in the workplace and surrounding areas.
They make sure working conditions are safe from radioactive materials and munitions and that the surrounding areas aren't negatively impacted by Air Force activities.
Primary ResponsibilitiesExecute occupational and environmental health site assessments.
Respond to terrorist attacks, natural disasters or accidents that could result in exposure to health threats.
Conduct preventive medicine studies and provide recommendations to reduce health risks.
Advise leadership and affected communities on health risks associated with operations.

Non-prior Service enlistment bonus of up to $15,000 with a six-year contract and paid incrementally over six years (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)
Prior Service bonus of up $15,000 for six-year enlistment paid over six years or $7,500 for a three-year contract paid over three years (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)
Reenlistment bonus of up to $7,500 with a three-year contract paid upfront/lump sum (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)
Qualifications
A high school senior (age 17 or older)*, high school diploma, a GED or 15 college semester hours
49 General (G) score on the ASVAB
Mandatory completion of Algebra I, chemistry, biology and English composition in high school
Ability to wear a 40-pound air pack while carrying 40 pounds of equipment in a totally encapsulating chemical protective suit without exhibiting signs of claustrophobia
Minimum of 18 years old prior to entry into technical training
Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
Must be between the ages of 17 and 42
*High school students may start their application as early as the end of their junior year.
