- Serving as a Scrum Master for multiple cross-functional teams, guiding them on Scrum practices and values to ensure the successful delivery of innovative technical solutions.
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Working closely with product owners to define sprint goals, manage product backlogs, and prioritize tasks to align with project objectives and timelines.
- Assisting teams in identifying and removing impediments, fostering an environment of continuous improvement to enhance productivity and team morale.
- Coaching team members on agile methodologies and practices, advocating for agile principles and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Coordinating with project stakeholders, including engineering leads and project managers, to ensure clear communication of progress, risks, and changes associated with project deliverables.
- Contributing to the development and refinement of agile practices within Parsons, sharing insights and best practices to improve team dynamics and project outcomes.
- Engaging in continuous learning to stay updated on agile methodologies, tools, and best practices, applying new ideas to enhance team effectiveness and project success.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline or related field or (equivalent work experience) and typically 4+ years of related work experience in the field of Quality
- 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role facilitating agile teams in a technical environment
- Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, with a proven track record of applying these practices to deliver complex projects successfully
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams towards achieving their objectives
- Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello)
- Ability to identify and address team impediments, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
- Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar agile certification
- Experience working on projects within defense, intelligence, or critical infrastructure sectors
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and how they integrate with agile development processes
- Knowledge of additional agile frameworks (e.g., Kanban, SAFe) and techniques (e.g., User Story Mapping, TDD, BDD)
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced, innovative environment
