    Det-Tronics is a $150M technologically innovative, projects-based global P&L protecting customers in many challenging environments with high end flame and gas detection products and systems.

    Det-Tronics is a part of the Global Fire Products business of Carrier and has a global footprint with manufacturing sites in the U.S.

    and sales presence in all key geographies. This position is for a Staff Quality Inspection Technician who works under moderate supervision. Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench and product feature inspections. Establishes inspection and testing specifications and procedures. Reviews inspection and test plans, technical reports, and data. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning the work of business support/technical employees.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Works under moderate supervision to assist with inspecting arriving, in-process and completed products for quality
    Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections. Inspects actual products on the floor and on-line
    Performs moderately complex First Article Inspections (FIA) and conformity inspections.
    Reviews technical reports, graphs, and charts
    Establishes inspection and testing specifications and procedures.
    Reviews inspection and test plans, standards and acceptance criteria, and procedures/work instructions


    Role Purpose:
    This position is for a first and second shift staff Quality Inspection technician who works under moderate supervision
    Flexibility to change Shift is required
    Performs moderately complex in-process, final bench, and product feature inspections
    Establishes inspection and testing specification and procedures. Reviews inspection and test plans, technical reports, and data. Assists in orienting, training, and assigning the work of business support/technical employees


    Required Qualification:
    Associates Degree or (2 year) Technical degree
    4+ years of hard gaging, thread gaging, CMM, micro view operation, blueprint reading experience


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Micro VU - CMM measurement programming
    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    Strong communication skills and attention to detail
    Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple tasks
    ISO 9001 standards a plus
    Blue print - Drawing interpretation
    GD&T Experience
