- Valid Washington State Teacher certificate
- Practicing Catholic preferred
- Experience teaching Preschool - grade 8 students music
- Teach a curriculum based on the NAfME standards
- Plan/execute a balanced music program and organize class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within the allotted time
- Provide individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the music curriculum to the needs of each student
- Utilize repertoire of all types of music literature, including traditional and contemporary that are appropriate for the ages and skill levels of students
- Select appropriate music, books and instructional aids/supplies as necessary
- Collaborate with the Pastoral Assistant for Music and Liturgy to prepare for the school's liturgical celebrations
- Prepare students to sing at school liturgies
- Collaborate with the directors and teachers in providing musical programs for school assemblies and seasonal programs
- Evaluate/report each student's musical growth, performance, and musical understanding
- Be able to fulfill other roles and responsibilities as assigned

JOB OVERVIEWOur Lady of the Lake Catholic School (Seattle) is seeking a music teacher to begin in the
academic year.
This music teacher will join our dynamic team and will be responsible for the music instruction of
grades preschool - grade 8. A knowledge and love of music and movement, desire to be a part
of a faith community, and a willingness to work collaboratively with OLL faculty are some of the
desired qualities.
Education and Experience:
based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills, and prior relevant
experience, degrees, and certifications.
Hours: This position is part-time and is a 0.6 FTE position. Contact days are flexible based on
candidate and school needs. It is not benefits eligible.
