DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The St. Charles Health System's Information Technology (IT) Team provides design, development, security, and support to a broad spectrum of computer hardware and software components, all working together for the benefit of departments throughout St. Charles. We partner with our customers to best leverage various technologies to achieve the best patient outcomes possible by implementing new hardware and software solutions, upgrading existing environments, protecting the data we store, and integrating solutions to achieve a seamless experience.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Director of Business Clinical Applications leads transformative initiatives across our organization's clinical technology landscape. Reporting to the Senior Director and Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, this role oversees the Epic build and 3rd party clinical build in areas included but not limited to Ambulatory, Inpatient, and Revenue Cycle technology. This role's strategic leadership and expertise will drive system strategies to advance the utilization of clinical information systems consistent with our goals and objectives. This position directly manages caregivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
Conducts all activities with the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. Complies with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, supporting the organization's corporate integrity efforts by acting in an ethical and appropriate manner, reporting known or suspected violation of applicable rules, and cooperating fully with all organizational investigations and proceedings.
May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned.
EDUCATION:
Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology Business Administration, or related field
Preferred: Master's degree.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
Required: Certification in related discipline within Information Technology.
Preferred: N/A
EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of seven (7) years related experience overseeing multiple EMR applications. Minimum of two (2) years of leadership experience.
Preferred: Seven (7) or more years of clinical or healthcare IT experience working with EMR applications.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
