Description
The LPN provides direct and indirect nursing care in a family practice setting, or in a school-based health setting.The LPN will participate in all aspects of care to patients including triage, health maintenance teaching, and administration of vaccines/medication.
The LPN will also collaborate and communicate with other nursing professionals, medical assistants, and medical providers to ensure high quality patient care.
The LPN will provide support to medical providers, as needed in the management of prescriptions and controlled substance prescriptions.Educational Requirements:
Graduate of Accredited LPN program required.
Experience Required:
Preferred candidate will have two years of experience in nursing role in an ambulatory care setting. Knowledge and proven skill in chronic care management or pain management is preferred.
Professional Licensure/Special Skills and
Certification Required:
Current licensure as LPN by Massachusetts State Board of Registration BLS required.
Interpersonal Relationships/Organizational Expectations:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
May be asked to provide guidance to medical assistants or to administrative staff by providing direction with procedures and other activities to facilitate patient care.
Reporting Relationship:
Reports directly to the area Team Lead Nurse
