    Job SummaryThis individual is the primary contact for inquiries relative to interpreting HR policies, procedures, and programs for all Associates and Managers.

    First responder, via e-mail, telephone and other communication channels for all HR related inquiries, HR investigations, disciplinary actions, terminations or other Employee Relations matters.


    Job Responsibilities:
    Responds to e-mail, calls, and reports from all Associates and Managers regarding Employee Relations matters by:Interpreting and explaining company policies related to performance management, work rules, non-medical benefits, wage and hour, HR programs and company HR proceduresProviding guidance to Managers in performance management, coaching and conflict resolution; such as advising managers on appropriate disciplinary actions and procedures to ensure consistency with the company's policies, HR protocols and best practicesInvestigating Employee Relations issues reported by Associates or Managers and providing guidance to Managers for investigation of complaints about working conditions, disciplinary actions, Associate and applicant appeals, alleged wrongful terminations, harassment and discrimination allegations, or other HR related mattersInvestigating complaints from Associates about salary/wage inquiries (e.g. merit increases, promotions, demotions, adjustments) and providence guidance to Managers when issues are not resolved through the standard processes in accordance to policy.

    Contacts operations and partner with other Corporate departments as appropriate to ensure proper resolution and compliance of the company's policies, federal, state and other legal employment requirementsProviding advice to managers on terminations, reductions in force, position eliminations and other employment actions to ensure proper policies and procedures are followedConsults with the HR Service Center's in-house Legal Counsel as needed to obtain advice on problem resolution.

    Escalates issues as appropriate to Field HR Consultants for partnership in investigations and case resolutionMay assist with inquires related to unemployment claims, the performance appraisal system and other HR related programsJob Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, or equivalent degree, or equivalent related experience.
    Two + years' experience as an HR representative/generalist in a large company or supporting a line Business Unit. English/Spanish bilingual preferred.

    Strong computer skills including ability to perform queries in SAP, generate reports, perform web-based research, and create case management files in HR software.

    Working knowledge of employment labor law in multiple states.
